Why would my car reset itself?

I came home last night, listened to the radio in the driveway for a bit, shut it off and went inside. Today I came out to leave and my keyfob wouldn't work, went to start the car and the trip odo. was reset to 0 and all my radio presets were gone and clock was reset. Like the battery was disconnected or something, I didnt try the keyfob yet, I guess I have to reprogram it? What couldve caused this?

Even if you disconnect the battery the key fob will still work after....

I would place the blame on the ECU...

Ok update to this, figured it would be related...didnt drive the car at all yesterday until around 9 at night, went to start and just clicked. Dead battery, enough juice to run the interior lights and stuff but not even move the starter...it jumped and ran fine and started up again last night and today, but odo was reset again and radio presets were gone, I'm just gonna stop setting them lol I suppose its time for a battery?

Time for a battery or maybe bad factory ground connections. Double check your battery cables and see if there are any tears or anything... not just the terminals. Good luck.

There is an "electronic parts" fuse under your dash, check to see if it is blown, my car did this before and that was the cause.

Reset your odo to 0? is it possible? That thought crossed my mind, since I haven't driven my maxima for four months now since it's sitting in the garage on jack stand, I removed the battery since I'm not driving it for that long, is it possible that if i put the battery back in, will it mess up the ODO? I'm concern now
