Is this causing the loud bang i hear in my rear? (pics inside)
Here's a little story...I'll try to make it short:
My brakes needed to be fixed (badly)...I needed all 4 pads & 2 rotors (front). So I take my car to a garage down the street from me to get the parts replaced. I've had prior experience with them with my old car so I didn't think twice about going to them with my Max. Everything is fine and they replace the parts. I go to drive home and notice my rear driver's side wheel smoking. Turns out they had a problem installing the pad there but didn't tell me . Turns out the caliper got stuck and had to be replaced.
So to prevent my car from catching on fire I get it replaced. Everything was fine once again until tonight when I was driving home from work I start to hear this loud banging noise from the same area everytime I hit a bump. Good thing I was close to home because this is what I see now.
It looks like the caliper slipped off. How should I go about fixing this? Is this safe to drive on? omgwtfbbq?? (sorry I'm a little upset)

It looks like the caliper was not lined up right to seat on the pads. The caliper has to be in line with the notches on the piston. Also, if you are not using shims in between the caliper and the pads, you need disc brake anti-squeal compound on the rear of the pads because of the direct metal-to-metal contact. This is to avoid any squealing noise. In your case, I don't see any. Also, check to see the condition of the upper caliper bolt. It may be loose, or the boot may be torn. It seems that whoever did your brake work, missed some important steps in doing it correctly.

^ Seriously, don't let 'em do this to you... I'd make them pay for replacements, your choice out of their pocket... Damn shops think they can f&$$ up and not claim responsibility for their actions.
