My car won't start

This morning I was leaving to work and my Maxima gave me a little surprise. It won't start at all. Radio worked fine, all the cluster lights were illuminated normally. With a turn of a key, it would try to start for a split second and then I would hear clicks. This is a 2003 Maxima GLE.
I did an oil change yesterday. My car does it oil. It never had any starting problems and its not winter right now so I doubt its a battery.
Any ideas what else it could be.
I just hope its not something serious because I won't be able to fix it tomorrow.

low battery most likely caused by bad alternator that isnt providing power and changing battery.

I still do have an original Nissan battery, but like I said all the light are bright. They are not dim. Plus I didn't see a single sign of battery going bad, nor I ever had a problem with it. I understand if the car was parked for a few weeks, but its being used every single day.
So you still think its just the battery?

It could be the starter itself although not having dim lights is not necessarily a sign that the battery is OK. It takes an awful lot of amps to crank and only a few to light up the dash.

If you can get the car started by boosting then that rules out the starter and leaves the battery/alternator as the culprit.

I agree w/ trying a jump to rule out starter issues. By the way, when my original battery took a dump, it was July! Don't let the nice weather fool you.
Actually, nice and hot weather is hard on a battery cause of the heat in the engine compartment.

I would: Try the jump. Then buy a battery.

Sounds like the battery to me. I had the same problem and though it was the starter, but it turned out to be the battery.

Yes guys, it was the battery. I'm glad it wasn't anything mechanic related.
So for Red Top I need 35-910, right?

I just went to Costco, Pepboys, AutoZone and Sears and nobody has a 35-910 model.
Where could I buy one?
