help suspension question

Hey anybody know how much its going to cost me to replace my strut mounts on a 2000 se?? thought it was my front axles but the mechanic said it wasnt causing the problem.

strut mounts rarely go bad. I've only seen it happen once, and that is usually because the upper strut nut isn't tightened down.

what is the problem you're having? What suspension setup are you running?

my setup is GR2 struts and tein s springs.. its strange cause it seems that my car sits lower than most peoples with the same springs .. i can barely have a 2 finger gap.. anyway when i turn i heard a loud creaking noise so i assumed that it was the axles but i had them replaced and the mechanic said thats not the problem

on any turn, or only when at full lock?

here is what I would do...take struts out and look at it from the top. you will see that it says "out" on each of them, I can bet you that in your case those strut mounts are in wrong place and it is rubbing ( steel against steel ). let me know.

how do you like the suspension set up

the setup is great if u like it low. i have a 1 1/2 gap the ride is a lill rough but handles alot better
