Help! my A/C buttons arent lit anymore :(

Hey all, i have a 02 GLE with about 87,000 miles on her. The last few months ive been replacing various bulbs interior and exterior. So far theyve been pretty easy, (stoplamp, side markers, parking lamps).

The other night i realized that my Automatic Climate control lights under the buttons and dial are out, except for one. However the information screen is illuminated.

Now i have come across the occasional led modification thread, but i really dont want to buy a soldering iron and possibly ruin my functional climate control unit.

Im pretty sure i can get to the HVAC via my service manual, but i havent found any information about bulb replacement for this issue.

Tomorrow, im going to call courtesy Nissan to see whats up, but in the mean time, If you guys could point me in the right direction to gettin my buttons lit up again, that would be cool.
thanks for your help,
Jason

Push on the trim around it and press some of the buttons. It gets loose sometimes from the vibrations from driving i would guess.

It's fairly simple! There are four bulbs to replace under the plastic cover of your climate control. Done it myself too!

Oh! and no soldering is needed. These led bulbs are clip-on. You put them on and twist clockwise to tighten.

Anzioblack44 - Did you need a soldering iron to replace the heated seat bulbs? I need to replace my drivers side bulb.

There should be only 3 bulbs, 27545MA. a fourth one is for illuminating the shifter and hazard. the 3 are a pain to twist on, if you have the tool that looks like a cross it'd help or screw it and use a needlenose.

What stumps me is that there's a blue "condom" on it and yet the light comes out white. Without the rubber it's yellow/orangeish. ??
