How To: Reset Airbag
I think this needs to go into the how to sticky, so here it is. i took it from another thread here and cleaned it up.
1) Turn ignition switch “ON”.
2) After “AIR BAG” warning lamp lights for 7 seconds(WAIT FOR IT TO START BLINKING BEFORE YOU COUNT THE SEVEN SECONDS), turn ignition switch “OFF” within 1 second.
3) Wait more than 3 seconds.
4) Repeat steps 1 to 3 twice (Perform 3 times in total).
5) Turn ignition switch “ON”.
SRS will not enter Diagnosis mode, if no malfunction is detected.
more step by step of the same thing
Turn key to on position for 7 seconds. (Don't start car)
Then off for 3 seconds
On for 7 sec
Off for 3 sec
On for 7 sec
Off for 3 sec
Then turn key to the on position for 30 sec.
Then turn it off for 1 sec, then on for 1 sec, then off.
Wait 1 min, then start the car and light should be off.
(this proccedure should cycle the air bag system in and out of diagnostic mode, so that it can see that everything is OK and turn off the light.)
Note: the first one should be used and the second can be looked at for clarification.

Use my link. Since the org changed from maxima.org/forums to forums.maxima.org, the address needs a little caressing. Either one procedure works. If you have an FSM, you can just that one, and I'm not sure which one is in the FSM.
Check FSM RS pp52-53

i found another procedure on the org and it seemed to work also. it went into diagnosis mode and i got: one prolonged flash then seven quick flashes, maybe half second each, then it cycles back to the long flash...any help?

Airbag sensor module
I am the owner of a 2008 Nissan maxima and my airbag sensor module started blinking yesterday 9/9/2012. I am the only driver of my maxima, aka "Maxine" and I have it serviced as recommended...after reading the cost in other Nissan maxima forums ($350.00-$1900.00) to have this little problem repaired, thought I should do a little online research for a "home remedy". I came across this thread and tried the Reset rememdy for an older model maxima on my 2008 model and it worked!!! I love my Maxima and plan to purchase a newer model in the near future. Thanks for posting a remedy

Pretty sure I'm going into the dealership, I got it to go into diagnostic mode and I think clear.
But every time it either goes into a fast blink again or a 1 slow then 6 fast sequence.
Anyone have any idea?
