Damn, I thought I had a lot on my '03. You have the highest mileage on a 3.5L that I know of.

Is it all original?

Edit: BTW, I am at 187k miles.

I'm at 150,814 with only 1 grey dot coil pack . I park on hills cause my starter decided to retire on me last month. I'll give Dave B a call pretty soon. Just for comparison, my 2nd gen is at 191xxx and just as fun to drive.

Wow! Do you have auto or Man. Tranny? How is the transmission holding up? Any major or $$$ repairs?

I am very close to 100k on my 2003 Maxima. The only thing i am nervous is the AT. Not sure how strong these transmissions are. I replace/flush the AT fluid every 30k miles. So far, so good.

My 2k max is now sitting at 99450, and I bought it with 22k miles. I'll hit 100k within two weeks.

It doesn't make me sad, though. I've had three other cars that went to 200k, so I am hoping that this is just the start of a good relationship.

And yeah, I like to watch it while it happens.

p.s. My Max still hasn't been in a wreck or had any major repair work (other than the f*^&*^% ignition coils)

i bought the car used last month with 230000. i think it is original motor and trans( Auto by the way). the only problem i have is the struts are blown and the front of the car is stone chipped to hell . i do not burn any oil just leak a little( will be fixed soon). plus i did not pay much for the car.

Stone chipped front end sounds familiar...that's the product of sh!ty Nissan paint and being on the road a lot. Struts are a fairly easy install. I actually just replaced all my struts and springs tonight and it only took 4.5 hrs with the help of a friend. Neither of us had ever replaced suspension before. Anyway, have fun racking up the miles on the car.

I really wouldn't sweat the transmission...especially if you take care of it and don't run the crap out of it everyday. You should easily be able to go another 100k on it.

i work at nissan dealer so i have the tools to put struts on myself which is a big plus. yea the paint really sucks on the nissans. i see cars with 10000 miles and the front bumper looks it was sand blasted lol

i will have fun racking up miles.

I'm at 44K now and estimate I'll hit 100K by the year 2016. By that time my Maxima will be a classic!

Bought mine @ 110,000 last year and now it's @ 125,000, but I live on an island! Looks like the previous owner did many circle island trips. Replaced the clutch as soon as I got it. Shortly after that the clutch lines. Two weeks ago the P/S pressure hose. What a PITA! Otherwise all stock besides the GAB and aftermarket clutch.

Hit 100K today. Bought it Feburary 19th with 79554. So, 20446 in less than 6 months. This year looks to be my busiest on the road so far.

I also had a 95 Altima that I just sold with 227K on it. Bought it for $1K with 183,000 about 15 months before I sold it.

I had a brand new WRX wagon and put on 76767 miles in 2 years, 2 months and 5 days. It died at that mileage on the way home from work by way of 3 deer.

Dude, all depends on many many variables.

How hard do you drive it?

How well is it maintained?

How well was it maintained before you bought it (if bought used)

and a whole lot of other factors.

You could have the motor last 100 miles, or one that will last over 200k.

Man, I'm not overly supersticious, but the other day, I was at 66,665 miles, and I was just about to go on the highway. I look at my trip OD, and sure enough, exactly 665 miles on trip B, which is weird, because I never use B, only A. So, I was like screw it, I'm not going to risk it, I love this car too much.

So, I turnaround, and do some circles in the culdesac next to my apartment. Guess what!!!!!! I slice my tire open on a little piece of metal sticking out of a drain-guard on the sidewalk!!!!!!!! I've done that circle a hundred times before! I have at least 6 inches clearance on either side (full ****ty maxima radius)Just as I pull the e-brake, I look at the odometer, and it's at 66666, trip B 666. What friggin luck. I was going to take a picture of it, but then I figured I dont care if people believe me, I dont even want a picture of that devils mark (I know, they say it's really 999 or some BS) in case that screws me over.

OH MAN!!! It's just that number, and white lighters that I'm superstitous about, because those two things have given me a reason to worry. This just adds to it!!!!I don't know, maybe I'm a self-fulfilling prophecy....

Well my car is definently taken care of engine to exterior, and even the interior. Just had front struts changed, strut mounts, motor mounts, sway bar links, just changed oil, changed spark plugs, cleaned my K/N filter, only thing I need to change is my transmission fluid.

Yeah, there is no way to give a "life expectancy". But there are guys on here with well over 200,000 miles on their VQ30's.
