took out the bose radio and some lights don't work
About 1 1/2 yrs. ago I put a pioneer cd player in to replace the bose in my 02 SE. The lights (I think it is the 3rd and 4th or 4th and 5th) where the a/c buttons are don't come on as well as the left side of the wheel (to change the stations, to turn up the volume, and cannot change the gauges on dash like when the bose was in there). Is this supposed to happen or did the installer do something wrong? Has anyone else had this problem before?
Wrong section but I'll bite:
1st: Your steering wheel controls wont work/control the aftermarket deck unless you got a PAC SWI-PS or a SWI-X. Did you?
2nd: Climate control lights commonly go out when the radio gets replaced. No one knows which lead is loose, but if you whack your A/C a couple times it might come back on.
3rd: Your tach doesn't work because the installer did not know when he removed the steering control harness from the back of the Bose deck, he had to ground the brown/yellow wire so your tach continues to work. If you get back there and ground that wire, it will work.

hmm strangly enough on my 2kmax my ac panel light dont work either they sometimes come on when i smack the side and every once in awhile they go out. This is after i replaced the headunit also, but my tach works fine.
