if it was a tire shop that told you to get that size, you should ***** and get them to replace them for the correct size.

Although some people like to run 1 size up, for the added comfort the extra sidwall provides and to fill in the wheel wells :shrug:

Mine dont do that and im running 235/40/18's, it has to be the tires or a bearing.

ive had quite a few cars come in with a similar complaint over the past few years on the stock 6th gen wheels. more times than not, it has turned out to be the tire actually roatating on the rim as the wheel is in rotation. possibilty.

You really shouldn't do that. They should be torqued by hand with a torque wrench while the car is in the air.

Bead seating problem? Rim defect? Never heard of that on a street vehicle. Maybe the 6th gen guys should get some bead lockers!

how can you hand torque with a torque wrench while the car is in the air?

lol no worries guys. new tires are on. old ones thrown out. no issues. no rubbing..no burning. everything is good. also to update before i bought the new tires. it was running 225/45 bridgestone potenza's i switched to the 245/45 toyo proxy4's and there have been no issues since i bought them

im riding on 245/45/18's on the SER's just because I had S-techs before and wanted to fill in the gap, but i will be going with 245/40/18 soon. The SER wheels would need some spacers to look right if you dont run at least a 235 width tire, they sit inwards more.......(hope that makes sense)

I just started getting this sound the OP was talking about. I have Michelin Exaltos for about 10k miles now and it just started in the last couple hundred miles.

Of course I have alse had the "warlbling" sound coming from the rear that I have done nothing about for the last 10k miles as well, so I wonder if I have a bad wheel bearing.

Also criss crossing tires could cause that noise, however it will go away after 3-400 kms. Mind you you are not supposed to do that to radial tires.

Sounds like the tire is backwards, are they one directional tires?
