Operation Procedure
1. Make sure that the accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition switch “ON” and wait at least 2 seconds.
3. Turn ignition switch “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.
4. Turn ignition switch “ON” and wait at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn ignition switch “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.
May I ask what all this does exactly, or any of the pedal timing procedures? Does it allow the owner to change things such as when the pedal does what?
Or is it simply just for checking/fixing codes, reseting ecu etc.

TIA

this was quoted off of titantalk.com :

I think it's important to do the learning procedures periodically, as it basically recalibrates the electro-mechanical positioners, namely the throttle valve positioner and the accelerator pedal positioners. After some use, these things get a little out of whack, and get kinda lost. This can cause problems like loss of power and idle issues. This method restores the proper min/max position voltages that the ecu sees from them.

i think it sounds about right.

Seems to be strictly ECU coordination then.

this has to do with the throttle body and is called "throttle position sensor learning"

you use the pedal to do it...but has nothing to do with the pedal position
