thinking maybe i'll wait till nov/dec and try trading in my 2k max auto for a 2k1 max manual.

how much can we expect the cost of 2k1 maximas to come down this winter? i'd think quite a bit right?

No, no, no. Ok, here's the plan. Wait 2 years. During those 2 years, save $10k. Drive normally. In 2 years, trad ein your max, for around 15k and take the 10k you saved and buy the new 6th gen max...

You should be able to negotiate a great price - when I bought my 01 they were offering me an 00 for below invoice - didn't buy it because worng color and didn't have things I wanted.

But remember, by Nov/Dec. you'll probably have little choice of 01's as the 02 will have been out for a couple of months. So you may not get exactly what you want. But if you can live with that you should be able to get at invoice if not below.

really? i was thinking around 1500 - 2k below invoice. i know it sounds unrealistic, but that's what the altima's going for with all the incentives. imagine in the fall, they'll probably drop apr too.

I got my AE for $1000 under invoice, the best I've seen is $1,100 under. It may be hard to find a manual in the fall, I had to look around to find mine in in May.

Jeff Wyler Nissan, eastgate (Near Cincy) had a white AE 5-speed last month that they would have gone more than $1,000 under on, but it may be sold by now. Here is their link.
