If you didn't /haven't read the stickys/FAQ/How to's, then you deserve to pay that price.

I'm in a good mood today so I guess I'll help out the noob.

Contact DAVEB here on the org http://forums.maxima.org/member.php?u=234

He works for a Nissan Dealership in Texas in the parts department and gives us org'ers the hookup price on parts.

Help yourself before we can help you/ If you read the FAQ's/How to's, you would see w3hat I'm talking about.

I'm helping you by telling you where to look. If you can't help yourself then you can be looked at as a lazy member who always wants to be spoon fed and doesn't ever look into an issue whenever one arises. Nut merely post a question and voila there's the answer.

This also helps you better udnersatnd yiour car so you'll have a better diea next time something goes wrong, i.e where to look before posting a question. Or it could be a amtter of gaterhing information prior to psoting a question so that all the abses are covered.

For instance, looking at your first post, you're asking for MAF, but is taht really the problem? in your case, it seems as so, since the car wont rev above 2.5k or so. Yes, that's a MAF problem and yes 02's seem to be plagued with shady MAF sensors. But, could there be something else at play, i.e. did you recently install an intake and forget to plug it back in?

The key is look around, and if your your answer isn't in the stickys, post a question. But try and be as informative as you can because like I keep saying, we can't help you if you don't help us help you, which is essentially helping yourself.

There's gotta be 1000 different posts about this. Click the free search button and type in MAF then read what you find. You will learn some good info along the way. I have both an '01 MAF with resistor mod as well as a spare AM600 I picked up from a junk yard just in case the '01 MAF goes out... I keep the AM600 and a screw driver in the car in case I blow out the MAF again but the '01 MAF w/ resistor has been VERY robust... and they are cheap! And it might just be me, but the car seems to feel stronger w/ the '01 MAF. anybody else notice that?

The "help" is already out there, all you had to do was look around a little. Since price is an issue, give Dave B a call and he can help you out with good deals on parts. You can also look around the 5th Gen Classifieds for people selling used MAFs.

With the frequency of MAF threads around here and information that already exists, this thread was as good as asking "Where can I find the cheapest gas?".
