How to remove front grill?

How do I remove the front grill?

I see 2 clips on the top which I took out.. but when I try to pull... the whole bumper moves... what gives?

I'm trying to put in some new horns and with the grill outta the way there's room to work.

Thanks guys

there are three bolts...you remove the nuts from the inside...pull back the bumper from around the area and you will see them. ine in the middle (below the emblem) and one on either side

I read somewhere that the whole bumper is one unit for 2000/01...

if so.. is it hard to take it off? or a pain to put back and align properly?

thanks for any help

Its not hard to take off the whole bumper. Its held by 10mm bolts and plastic clips. The only problem I ran into the first time was getting to the bolts that are facing straight up ,right between the fender liner and the headlighth.I peeled the fender liner back and used a long extension to get to it.

The purple arrow shows the hard to get bolt.
After youre done the bumper lines right up as the screws and clips dont give play once in the hole.

Its not really that dificult, remove the 4 bolts in the inner fender wells, take out the 4 million plastic clips on the bottom that always break , the 3 on top and the bumper just falls off, i removed mine to install a tranny cooler, i had no issues with alignment when reinstalling it, very easy, just need time and paitence, dont get ahead of yourself and you wont have any probs.

And get a blanket or cardboard for when you remove the bumper so you don't scratch the paint.

Though if I were to do this, my front bumper is so bad if I were to remove it and scratch it on my garage floor or driveway it would probably do it more of a service than a disservice
