Wow, replaced main ground wire
Wow, replaced main ground wire
I was doing the battery relocation this past weekend so while my battery was out of the car I decided to rip out the old ground connection and replace it with some 2guage wire from homedepot. All I can say is WOW. The week previous to replacing this ground my alternator died and I drove around for 2 days on just the battery. When I got my car back from the shop I noticed that at night when my bass hit hard my lights would dim a little, never noticed that before so I am assuming that driving on the battery with out an alternator has strained the battery to much. Now, with the new ground wire my lights arent dimming (even though my battery is probably on the way out). Also the voltage on my capacitor went from ~13.8V to ~14.4V, the bass also sounds a little louder/crisper. And finally on to the last part of the wow... my car seems to pull harder from 2k rpm's and up.... from 3k to 5k the car feels hungry for speed. I wish I had done this last year when I first read about the big 3.
