EDIT: Full info w/ pics displayed in the the Tire & Wheel Section. Since the caps haven't been installed, I'm going to wait and finish prior to posting in Member Rides.

Oh; and on a side note, does anyone have any advice about the Hub protrusion? I am considering spacers, but the meat is so wide on these that I'm concerned if they're any wider they'll rub.

Those rims look great. I would really like to see pics without the other rims in your backseat, but gotta say I love the Gram Lights. What is the weight on them?

You can stretch your tires and use extremely wide spacers to make your offset subzero.

I like them! Although I didn't realize that your old wheels where in the back seat at first. I was like "man thats a really uneven drop, hope those fronts settle out a bit with time". Lol! Looking good!

The 18x8.5 Gram Lights are rated at 21lbs/rim @ TireRack.
unfortunately, the rubber is rated around 28lbs.

my best guess is the whole setup is less than a pound more than stock. it was really hard to tell the difference when i was mounting them.
(last i heard 23.5lbs was stock, but maybe the Ti Edition rims are heavier + 25-26lbs. for good OEM-sized rubber.)

UPDATE: I have some fender rubbing on certain types of bumps on seemingly ONLY the passenger rear. This concerns me as I was seriously considering 5mm Spacers to make sure the centercaps I have on order will clear the hubs. I will attempt the FSM beam recentering procedure sometime soon, but being that I only have the equivalent to one adult male in the back with my tires/wheels back there (roughly 200lbs) I'm starting to debate keeping my Eibach rear springs. If anyone with Eibach springs and WIDE tires can give me some info i would appreciate it.

Nice wheels.

I would try recentering the beam before pulling off the rear springs. Try taking out all your tires to see what happens when the backseat is empty. The Law is running Z33 Track rims in the rear with Eibachs, so maybe ask him. I'm sure there are others who will chime in too.

Technically, he's the first one with 18x8.5 57Maximums on a black 5.5 Gen lowered on Eibachs with stock corners.

My plan was to let this stay in 5G for several days and then ask him to post the specs and pics in the wheel thread, following which I would move this to member's rides. Just so you know.

Thanks Puppetmaster. My thoughts exactly. I was mainly posting in here because the 5th gen forum gets the most traffic, and I thought it might be refreshing to see something that wasn't a "HELP HELP" thread or something from 2-3years ago getting bumped. Also to note, I believe I'm the first Max owner of any generation to get the New Goodyear F1 All-Season tires that afaik just started to show up in tire places within the past 2-3months

Those wheels look f'in awesome on your car and I usually don't care for after market wheels.

And off topic - How do you guys get your cars so darn shiny? I've tried so many different waxes and even a clay bar and I can never get that shine.

+1 for the wheels...they looks awesone. But yea, you really need to do something with that protruding wheel hub up front

Thanks all for the props guys! I'm very happy with them except the whole beam centering thing, but that doesn't have anything to do with these. I have TE center caps on their way to me, I just need to figure out a nice way to chop the ends of the hub bolts down without making it look jacked up. Also, since removing the stockers from my back seat the rubbing has seemed to stop even when hitting some pretty good bumps. Downside is, I won't be able to really have anyone ride in back anymore. next on the agenda; beam recentering, bushings, and trying to make some caps fit >_>

I had 18in rims a nitto 555 on mine once and it rubbed on certain bumps as well on right rear. It did matter if someone was in back seat or not, because that was the only time I noticed it. Of course I didn't go flying over bumps all that much either.

And o yeah those rims do like real good.
