Stillen Y-pipe...Y not?

I've been reading through a bunch of threads and I still didn't find a definitive answer to why the Stillen Y-pipe is not popular here. I understand people on here favor the Cattman Y and I do too but they don't have any available now. The price for the Cattman Y is almost the same as the Stillen one if not more...I think (Stillen $360 shipped). Both are stainless steel (correct me if I'm wrong, Stillen site says its stainless steel). I ask the question again...Y not?? Anyone with a stillen Y please chime in.

I don't remember Stillen's Ypipes being SS! They were in fact mild steel with a ceramic coating and a second grade flex section notorious for the bees in the can sound!

Jesus, why bump THIS thread? No, it wont fit without a little modification. Not worth the hassle, get one designed for the 4th gen.

After waiting half a year for a cattman y-pipe to restock I didn't see a different option than getting the Stillen one. I talked to Brian Catts and he couldn't get me a definitive answer on when he would have them again. He switched his exhaust guys, and since the part is specific for the 00-01 he doesn't have that many prospective customers, and focuses on the newer gens. That is completely acceptable and Stillen put a lot of work into their pipes now. They are mandrel bent and stainless steal. Also the bees in a can noise has been fixed like a gidzillion years ago. I also have stillen FSTB and never had problems with them.

Bottomline tho, Brian is not a huge corporation, he is a maxima enthusiast and thus should be supported. I will buy all other components from him, but if he doesn't have the part I have to get it another way.

Even if he paid me, I wouldn't follow his instructions. I thought I would exploit his ness.

YES...my old thread was BUMPED. I'm sorry to bump it up again but I had too..LOL
Anyways, a little update. I did get the stillen and it is SS. And I have already sold it to my buddy with a 4th gen and it fits on his 4th gen with no problems. The pipe is made for 95-01.
