The radiator fan helps cool your car's engine down and does not run your ac.

When you turn your a/c on, can you hear the compressor turn on?

I don't know a lot about a/c's. But it might be a possibility that one of your fuses are blown. Or that your low on freon. I think the a/c system has a pressure switch on it that wont let the compressor turn on if the pressure is down (i.e. a leak). At least thats how it is on some cars. Can you see any leaks or anything around the compressor?

i have that same exact problem, except i can hear the compressor turn on ( i guess, when i turn the system off then back on i hear something turn on under the hood). its weird cause sometimes the a/c will click on then just turn off completely, i guess i have the same problem as callmewiggy

uofmmaxima and callmewiggy...

do you have automatic climate control, and can you get any air (hot or cold) to blow through the vents?

If you cannot get air to blow out, and have auto climate control, I suggest looking here:

I respond in post 6 & 7 about the problem, how to fix, and a temporary cheap fix that I used when this happened to me.
