First ever - Modified Axle Bracket

First ever - Modified Axle Bracket
Well as many of you know - my car has been really low in its lifetime and the times that I dumped the car (24 inches or less off the ground to the fender) The passenger side axle bracket always snapped in half causing my passenger axle to slide slightly out of the transmission and leak all the fluid out but then it slides out just enough so that the car cannot drive anymore - meaning it won't move.
I had to tow it home twice because I snapped it on 2 occasions.
I had my fabricator who makes RB powered 240sx's modify my existing axle bracket (this will be my 3rd one).
Here's the original:
And here's the modified one:

Here's one more picture:
2 Gussets were welded under each side and the middle was filled with cut steel. It snaps usually around where the hole in the middle is.
Apparently these brackets have high sulfur content making it very weak - it's casted so you can't expect much.

What was the cost? I never new these were breakable till a local friend needed one, just this past month.
An sr20froum member had one made from scratch, for weight. Its aluminum. I wonder which would be stronger.

i think the machined one should be stronger. i was always taught that welding cast metal was a no no. is this problem 5th gen specific or is it a issue with 4th gens too? hope it works out.
