TL rims on Maxima!

would a set of 06 TL 17" stock rims fit on an 02 maxima???

also, could you run 245/40/17 tires on stock 02 rims ???

anyone with advice and input would be appreciated...

I don't know much about Hondas, but one of my buddies does a lot of work on his Accord (which is to TL as Maxima is to I), and his wheels only have four lugs... not sure if this has changed as he has an older one.

From my understanding most of the newer honda/acura wheels that are 5 lug have the same bolt pattern as our maximas, 5 x 114.3.

thank youu, i thought seeing 240 front ends on civics was enough, but switching wheels would be noticable being you drive a maxima

TL wheels and other Honda/Acuras for that matter usually have a much higher offset. My friends TL Type-S wheels are somewhere in the +50-55mm offset range. So I'm gonna go with no.

Yes, the wheel if they would fit without rubbing on the caliper would sit inside the fenderwell so much that you will want 20mm spacers to make it look right.

True, didn't think about spacers.

Just because you put on acura wheels don't mean your going to get acura reliability/resale value

no for 2 reasons:

1: youre not OG enough
2: stretched tires automatically remove you from the OG shield

OP, the offset on the 04-05 TL 17" OEM wheel is 45mm I believe - so most likely the 06 offset is similar. I would check on the acura forums for additional information, but even 45 offset is in to far, IMO.

btw, next person to flame in this thread is going to get a ban. try me.

i have +45's, the front is OK (marginally needs a spacer) but the back def needs spacers to look right.

+45 is really bad.

You need a +20 in the front and +10 in the back to fit flush.

If your on stock height, then +45 is alright but if your lowered, +45 will look so ugly without spacers.

You referring to spacers? Are you sure those aren't reversed?

I have +45 and 15mm spacers in the rear, 5mm in front. 8" wide though.

well im dropped about an inch, and the front is ok (you could use a 5mm at most) and the back could use 15-20mm to be flush. but i have 2.5" lip wheels so they stick out a little more than flat face wheels. however, 20mm in the front would look...uke:
