Correct Tire Pressure

I was wondering what's the correct tire pressure for a 2001 Maxima SE with stock 17" bridgstone prozena tires. I know that is says 32psi on the center console but what is everyones opinion.

Some run 33 or 34 all around. I found 32 to work fine.

Paul,

I have the 16" five spokes. Do you know the dimensions of the rim and do you like the Yokohama V4? I have the Toyo's which are okay.

now I have 35 all around. before I had 35 front 32 rear.

more pressure might give u better fuel economy and tires might last longer...but less traction at turns.

36-37 front, 33-34 rear. Get a good tire gauge, btw.

Yeah I have those too. They are 16 x 6.5, with a 215-55HR-16 stock. I have Yokohama Avid V rated. They are pretty decent, better than stock, by far. They have good wet weather traction. They are weak in the snow. When these wear out, I'm going for the new Bridgestone RE950's They are really nice looking tires that are 400 wear rated.

I don't think so..... but it doesn't matter.... those pressures coupled with the RSB give nice handling characterstics..... fuel efficiency is of minimal concern

Some of the understeer goes away with more pressure in the front tires than in the rears, making it more willing to corner (and more fun to drive). I hate numb-handling cars, so I'm currently running 36 front & 30 rear (it's normally just the 2 of us and not a trunkload of stuff either; 30 in the rear is adequate for that vehicle loading but I wouldn't go any lower).

When I get around to adding a RSB or doing other suspension mods I'll probably put a couple psi back in the rear tires though.
