My car picked up for a while then i hit it some more and it suddenly dropped. My car now has difficulty picking up. When i idle it feels like its trying to move but having a rough time. Other words it stalls to move. when i have it in park it tries to move but cant since its in park it doesnt rev in a steady position.

Somthing stuck in the intake? Mice love the warmth of an engine at night and the bedding provided by the air filter is often found to be more than accomidating to their tastes.

check the air intake path and make sure all the sensors are in place. There is a sleeve that sometimes can come loos on the air intake tube just before the air box. Check that also. An ECU reset could also help.

Same thing happened to me one time...
All that I had to do is reset the ecu. The auto max will throw itself into a safety mode very easily. Alot of people on the org have done this before. I hope that is what it is. Good luck!

Same thing just happened to me yesterday. Driving to work the car just didn't feel like it wanted to get up and go. I have also had the problems with the auto transmission that is mentioned in the service bulletins, but both dealerships that I have taken my car to have said the transmission is fine and there is nothing to be done. This is with even giving them the service bulletin numbers. Unfortunately I work weird hours so I can't go for a test dive with the service techs and always have to have someone take my car in and pick it up. Now some friends came over last night and we were going to go eat only to find out I now have no reverse. I am currently waiting for the towtruck to take it to the dealership, and am fully expecting them to tell me it is not covered by warranty as has been my luck with my first and probably last Nissan. They made no mention of a loaner vehicle either so I will probably have to work out borrowing a car from a friend. Anyone want to buy a 2000 Maxima Se Auto, green 25000 miles, possibly soon to be replaced transmission, no tsb performed, and I think that is all.
Why kill youself and ask for amature advice? The car is under warantee, take it to the dealer, you paid for the wanantee.
I hate dealers as much as the next guy, but in your case I would have taken it in the same day. If they say you need an appointment, I would say fine, give me a loaner.

the service dept. didnt want to give me a loaner when i had to leave my ride last weekend. i just went up the chain of command at the dealership until i got what i wanted. what made it great was that the service manager, after telling me no, had to come out to the showroom with his tail tucked and apologize for being an *** while informing me that my rental car would be arriving shortly. dont let them walk over you. its unsafe to send you back out with a vehicle that isnt running properly...keep reminding them of this and in today's lawsuit happy society they should give in and get you something to drive.
