This passage kills me:

"For instance, Altima continues to have an independent rear suspension, whereas the Maxima and Sentra, built under the old Nissan, were forced to go with a “multilink beam” rear setup. There were plenty of bean counters in Japan who wanted to save the roughly $150 a car difference between independent and beam axle suspensions."

Is this Nissan or GM? You decide.
