cattman said that the 4th gen KYB AGX can be modified for the 5th gen. He said that there would be an additional charge of $10-$20 to make the modification. The AGX for the 4th gen should be available within a month maybe....

I know.... it sucks but hey, at least you guys have IRS.... but how bad can the modification to make them fit the 3rd gen be? I can try it out for you if you buy me a spare set

If you carefully read Brian's post ... it's only the 4th gen that he says are available in the fall of 2001. Brian says that the 5th gen are only going to be available from KYB in the fall of 2002!!!

But he knows how to adjust the 4th gen KYB's to fit the 5th gen ... so he isn't selling original 5th gen KYB AGX's ... rather a modified 4th gen ...

modification? what modification? 4th gen shocks and 5th gen shocks are the same!!........uh....aren't they?

 

Even the front struts?

 

According to what Cattman said and I saw on his coilovers, the front struts' bolt holes have a different spacing. You either slot the top bolt hole or drill a new one. The bottom hole was round, but the top was about a 1" oval. The material looks pretty tough, so unless you have the proper tools for drilling, you'd be better off letting Cattman charge you the extra $15 or so.
