tell me what you think. Are they going to be better than stock? The bulb looked high quality in real life than in the pics.

Normal replacement wattage for H4 max bulbs is 55/60. Careful not to melt your harnesses.

Hmmm

Upgrade the wiring harnesses?? Probably cost more than it's worth though. I have to admit they look REALLY good on that Ebay site. Gotta wonder if those are real HID's they are showing in the pic vs. replacement bulbs. I just bought the Philips Vision plus E-code version from a place in the U.K. for $28 shipped. I'll let you guys know how they compare vs. Stock and PIAA's. LAter

how many watts you gonna run with those new bulbs?

BTW, any cheap methods to prevent this?

I noticed that most of the melt downs happened to 4th gens. So will we 5th gen avoid the meltdown with a better design over the 4th gen?

Yeah I don't know of anyone that this has happened to, but there aren't that many of us up here in Colorado. I'm not sure how much new harnesses run, they just sound expensive. I'm gonna be the guinea pig for these bulbs. Hopefully they're all they're talked up to be in that article. Cheap at least!!!

I am relieved that you said you are the guinea pig of the bulbs! but are your bulbs 100/85W?

No the VisionPlus H4 run normal 55/60 wattage. I'm not sure what the output wattage is, but the running watts are same as stock. Maybe that wattage on yours is output, so you don't have to change harnesses!?

LoveSick,

dont listen to anyone about upgrading the wiring harness cause it is bull$hit. I mean I majored in Electronics and I can tell you that if the wire at the moment can handle a 65watt current, it can damn well handle a 130watt current. Most wired are rated to half of what they can do before they start cooking the insulation.

Dont worry, I Ran 130/110watts H4s in my max before I got the HID kit. Never burned out the wiring harness. I mean I drove from DC to Toronto at night for 12hrs and that **** never burned out.

I believe APC makes the harness and it's about 40-50 bucks. Kinda expensive if you ask me.

If you are serious about this, it would be cool! But I will believe you. I have yet to hear a 5th gen burn out their harnesses! but 130W...........sounds too much........

My thoughts exactly, I don't think they really install the bulb and take a pic, they probably just take the same pic and filter it with different colors or something. Our stock halogens aren't yellow on the road..

yeah ... he sold over 440 pairs of bulbs 2 people like yourself b/c they are cheap (no offence dude) .. most people r of the opinion that if they work .. gr8 since they only paid $20 ... but if they don't work .. that's kewl 2 .. since u only paid $20 ...

uh .. I think u will need 2 upgrade your harness ... most people running bulbs greater than stock wattage burn their harness' ... that is ... a lot more than those (the one guy that posted) 4 get lucky ...

I have the Philips Bluevisions that e/o luvs .. I'll sell them as soon as I get my HID's ...
