Hi guys! I thought that maybe one of you can help me out or give me an advice. I have my 2000 SE Max for over 2 years now and getting close to 25K. I am riding on the stock 16" rims and Toyo tires. About 3K miles ago, I a rotation done and a week after that I noticed a bulge in a sidewall on one of my front tires. I got both front tires replaced for the original equipment (TOYOs). After that I have been feeling some vibration in my steering wheel as I hit 60mph and above. It never quites down. In the past 2 months, I had both front rims replaced and tires rotated at least 5 or 6 times by the dealer and other tires shops. Still, the vibration is there. Could it be the tires? I don't know what to do, but it is becoming really annoying. Please help.

 

hmmm... sounds like the tires are not balanced properly

 

Get them balanced with a Hunter GSP9000 machine.

I think my Dad was complaining about that a couple of weeks ago...the Nissan service guy said the wheels needed to be balanced.

 

I've experienced vibrations for some time. I've had balancing and tire rotation performed by respected people. I still get a vibration. I think it is the tire itself.

 

If the tire has a bulge, then it needs to be replaced. The bulge can cause the vibration at highway speeds.

 

If it's been balenced that many times either your rims are crooked which I doubt or your tires suck. 9 out of 10 times it's the tires. My friend recently put new Pirelli's on his GEO and got them rotated a million times and thought his rims were crooked. Step dad said something about the tires, just got back this morning after new tires and everythign is perfect-o

 

I had the same problem. I took my car to shop after shop to get the shaking fixed but nothing helped. Finally I took it into my local nissan dealer where they inspected the the whole steering console which was fine. When the wheels was checked sure enough they were balanced wrong by the cheesy shops I had gone to. Since nissan balanced it the shaking have stoped. So take your car into nissan and have them really take a good look at it.
