What color bulbs
Getting ready to replace all the bulbs in my 2K. Before I placed the order I went out to take one last look at the directionals front and back.
It appears that the bulbs are Amber, and if I replace them with the PIAA xtreme whites, I will lose the amber directional color.
I really want the brighter bulbs, but don't want to do anything illegal. I think Polarg has some amber bulbs, but I'm not sure what's best.
I plan on going PIAA xtremes all the way around. Can I get some advice from the board. I live in Massachusetts.
By the way, for a cheap but decent looking bulb, Sylvania cool-blues are ok, but don't last for #@$%.

most of the piaa bulbs are NOT legal. If you but a white bulb in a clear housing you will get clear light.
The bulbs in the front and rear corner markers are clear so these you can replace with white 194's, unless you have clear markers.
The directional's next to the headlight are amber. IF you want the clear look in the day and amber at night you need the bulbs that have a reflective coating. y2kevse has them.
Also the details of light laws vary from state to state and change frequently so ask your local police for a copy of the law if you really want to be safe.
My opinion...Unless your running 100W purple headlights or blue turn signals or driving recklessly most cops wont bother you. Good luck. Polarg makes some good bulbs. Also I'd has cool blues in my ford for 7 months woth no problems. PIAA are all looks and no real light, they fail most lighting tests and that is why most of them are illegal.
