First time to track---I suck!
Took the Maxima to the track for the first time today (2000 GXE 5 Speed). My Mustang Club had rented the track for 4 hours. I was able to run 8 times in the first 1.5 hours, but quit because I was so frustrated. Every time I raced, they set me up agaist an 11-12 second car. I couldn't hear my engine or tell if my tires where spinning. It sucked. I could have ran 15 more times if I wanted to. I ran the car immediately after driving 50 miles to the track. I did not let it cool down.
Here is my best run:
r/t .546
60 2.396
330 6.57
1/8 9.978/71.9mph
1000 12.91
1/4 15.37 / 93.42 mph.
The mph seems good, but I am very disapointed in the times. My 60ft sucks. I can't drive for ****. I was really hoping for 14.9's. It was supposed to be in the low 70's today, but the cold front did not come through. It was probably close to 90 when I was racing, and the track is at 700ft above sea level.
I never powershifted and tried leaving the line at 3000 rpms. I spun badly on every launch, or bogged terrible. I wish this thing had some better low end torque, it would make it much easier to pull out.
Just for comparison's sake, I had the g-tech hooked up while I did my runs. On this particular run, it recorded:
14.9 @ 99.1 mph.
It was consistently off by this same amount.

Yea....im not too much of a fan of OSCAI, you will see some nice gains with a real CAI, an UDP would also be a decent mod, gives nice low/mid range......i tell you what if you start throwing on some basic bolt-ons you will be well into those 14's you want.........
you think you suck??
