hey all,
finished up the rears today. the top of the strut hits that black bracket they added to the 2k that wasnt on the 4th gens. I ended up cutting a slot in the bracket for it to clear and to get a ratchet in there. After everyone was done and tightened i took it down sharp park for a test drive. handling is very nice on these, the ride is somewhat stiff but bearable. This is my opinion, some might think its too harsh. Its DEFINETELY better then my setup. Rear makes clunking noises so i took it back to tighten everything down and make sure it was all fine. Test drive again and still clunking noises. Spent a lil more time over bumpy roads and its in the strut towers/top mounts on the rears but i couldnt get rid of the clunking noises. Everything is tightened so i dunno....

my final impressions, its a nice setup but lots of fitment probs and i feel for the price of these coilovers, they should be more refined. now im not trying to put down Cattman's product but we know he didnt test them on a 2k and he assumed it would fit with no probs. (this was proved when the rear top hats did not fit the 2k) ve decided not to get Gen2's for my Max for now. I will be doing a 98 Max with Gen2's in a couple weeks so we'll see how that one goes.

these are wmax2k's exact words "i wouldnt recommend these garbage coilovers to anyone"
Thanks for the update, now you saved us some money..Where is that JIC coil-over for 5th gen maximas at?

We should definitely let Cattman know that he should improve his products..i think from the impression of Y-pipe and coil-overs, ppl got kind of fed up with those POS!!!

Why do I have a feeling you're talking to me about being a test subject?
