I sent them a e-mail asking what is the problem with the Supercharger for the automatic 2000k and keep getting the same vague answer:

I have an automatic 2000 Maxima. I have an upgraded Transmission Control Module (TCM or TCU) (due to the slipping in between 1st and 2nd gear) and was planning on getting a Supercharger. I was aware that it would be necessary to have a Valve Body Adjustment and to add Coolers to the transmission. Wasn't that 2k Pace Car Stillen built was an Auto?? I could've swore it was, I may be wrong.

How much (approx.) for a "bullet proof" tranny? Any reccomendation on superchargers that "fit" the 2000 SE?

PERFECT, I'm gonna get in contact with my friends and find out how much it is. You can even call up Level ten and ask. S/C kits....the STILLEN will fit with no problems ... its just that STILLEN is afraid to sell to stock modded tranies....but once you get your "bullet proof" work done ... no worries what so ever...hard charging.
I'm working on group deal for local residents to go to Level ten and have the VB's done.
We'll see how it goes.

Can you get me a price on the whole set up? S/C, Tranny, VB mod, etc...? Group discount and all? I get a phat bonus in January so I may spend it on the 2kSE!

Ha, that is just funny, when I emailed Stillen like two weeks ago, they told me that they were working on fixing the SC kit on Auto 2k max due to the airfilter assembly didn't fit right(ask Dman, he has it on his auto max) and they are planning to get a VB mod for their project auto max.

So, how the hell they tell ppl different story???????
but for now, we are all certain that The Stillen SC kit will not fit on auto 2k max without modification to the airfilter assembly(possibly more, anyone?) And of course, VB mod and tranny cooler or possible Torque Converter upgrade is recommanded if you are gonna get a Supercharger for automatic tranny.

Without a doubt, Auto tranny can't handle the extra power provided by the SC(most cars, not just maxima), But if you have upgraded your auto tranny, I dont' see why Stillen will not try to make a SC kit that fit on auto max with tranny upgrade???

What they don't know, won't hurt them. Just get it installed at a good shop and explain the problems with the air filter and they will be able to take care of it, otherwise you need to find a new shop. Its up to you for the tranny though.
