Looks sweet! Care to tell how you did that? I have been trying to figure out a way to get some mesh in there, and have it stay.

That $hit looks hot. Is that the same Ooglie grill from Home Depot? Cause I put mine in the air damn and it looks hot. I thought about putting it on the Grill but it looked too complicated. Thought I might have to remove the front bumper.

Give us a Write up on how you did it and what you used.

You should take out the factory bars and then paint the factory shroud to match with the new grill and that would make it real hot.

I used gutter grill from home depot...I cut out my templates in cardboard...traced them on the meshing and cut them out...i did all the necessary cutting/ trimming before final placement...and then used plastic ties to hold them in place. Nothing on the bumper was cut out (just incase I want the factory look). I did not have to remove the bumper..just had to get my arms in behind..be prepared to bleed! I hope i answered all your q's...if not let me know.

I say .....Just do it! I think It'll look good with the white. Remember you can always go back to factory if you don't like it.

I like the grill. Good work.

Somebody posted recently that some Maxima's may come with painted grills already. I had never seen one before until last week. I saw an average looking lady cruising through the grocery store parking lot in a white one and the grill was all white. Not one thing was modded on that car. She looked average, too. Maybe she wrecked it in the front and they painted it to match at that time??? Anyway, it looked good and caught me by surprise. I cruised by the dealership later that evening to see if I spotted anymore. I saw none out of the whole lot that had painted grills.

Looks good!

Was it the exact same gutter guard you used for the lower grille? In this case I would assume it would be two or three of them (for the vertical width)? If not was this mesh available at Home Depot? How long would you say it would take to do it (now you know exactly how to do it)?

Hey I noticed you went on the outside for your lower grill? Here is my lower one..

This the bad boy you used for the main grill?

i used three pieces of the gutter guard..check out the pics of my templates in my album (I think that'll make things clearer)...1 template = 1 sheet of gutter guard...the gutter guard is exactly the same stuff that Phatguy used.

I don't see the pics of the template in there? Do you have a direct link to this pic(s)?

Thanks man!

Re: very unique,congrats

I dunno? Everyone who has seen my lower grill loves it! They have no idea it is a $3 job. My lower grill looks better live than in that picture (and I think that pic looks pretty good). Only cost $9 and a lil work so you never know how it might look..

Have you thought about offering a set of these templates for sale? Maybe make them out of wood. Problem is, every Maxima on the block will get the same look as yours. Mine will be the first in Texas, hopefully.

just thought of this..

do you think this will cause the engine to run hotter because of the restricted airflow? Big H notice any temperature differences?

How is it going? Are you using the gutter guard? Are you installing it on the exterior like big h or in behind?

I think he means how did you trace the templates from the original grill. I was wondering that too since there isn't a lot of room to make an accuate template. Was it just trial and error?
