Went to Alta Nissan yesterday. The salesperon was busy so he let me go on the test drive alone. (I couldn't wait) Got it the car (seemed to have everything except leather and nav), positioned the GTech in the center of the wind shield, went to an opened road, took off the traction control and.... ready!! Here are the results:

0-60 miles
1st 7.34
2nd 7.10
3rd 6.99
4th 7.49
5th 7.01
6th 6.89

Conditions:
Slightly wet road
25 Degrees Celcius

With my AE I consistantly get between 6.4 and 7.0 on the same stretch.
I'm expecting that with these results on the automatic the 6 speed will be well under 6s.

Wow. How did you manage taking a 2002 for a solo test ride? I don't think I could get a solo on a 2000 around here. Dealers must be more lenient (or stupid) in Canada. BTW, testing the performance in the rain doesn't make much sense, especially from a stop. I don't drag race much but you can't get much traction on wet pavement. Well, I gotta go to the delaer now. It's lunchtime and if I bring a nice veal parm hero for a salesman, maybe he'll let me go solo.

What WEIGHT did you use? Did you subtract for the missing 4-bodys?

Those numbers seem pretty good. I hear the gtech is about .2 faster than reality so safe to say the 2K2 AUTO should do 0-60 in about 7seconds flat. The 6spd should be lower 6's fo' sho'. Most dealers let me take out cars by myself as well.

bramirez: how is going lately? Anything new with your ride?

I have spoken with this sales person before. I don't believe he or any sales person would let just anyone drive their vehicles alone. He knows I am serious about the 2002. He shurely has some degree of trust in me and their cars are insured.

I would agree with you that it doesn't make sense in testing acceleration speed in the rain. The roads were slightly wet (next to dry; enough to get the results that I did). I'm going back when it's completely dry to try it again.

Hey PhatGuy! How are you!

Nothing new so far. I am seriously considering the 2002 SE 6 Speed. I am working on getting a buyer and doing the paper work through the dealer to save some money. If everything works out I'll probably lose between $3,000 and $4,000 dollars. For all the upgrades, change of colour (Navy blue with frost leather) and zero kilometers it's worth it. Anything short of this I'm consentrating on the super charger. BTW, I found a dealer that will install the supercharger without voiding your warranty. When I get my quote for parts and labour I'll post the details on a separate thread.

All the best!

My dealer is really cool too. They bid on every mod install I make. They wanted to do my springs, rsb/fstb, intake. No probs with them at all! I hear guys in the States put in new floor mats that will void their warranty.

Ya keep us up to date with the moves you are going to make?

Weight is not required to calculate 0-60.

The G-Tech only needs to know the car weight to calculate HP....
