Geez, can't they get anything right?
This sort of sums it all up about Nissan's cheapness:
Driver's seat easy entry/exit system is available on SE automatic transmission as part of the Leather Package models and is standard on GLE automatic transmission models. Driver's seat memory system is available on all SE models as part of the Leather Package and is standard on all GLE models
or
SE manual transmission-equipped models require SE Leather Package, BoseŽ audio system option, Meridian Edition, sunroof option and front-seat side-impact air bags option. SE automatic transmission-equipped models require SE Leather Package, BoseŽ audio system option, and sunroof option. With Nissan Navigation System, BoseŽ audio system 6-disc CD autochanger is trunk-mounted.
Did everyone catch that?
Also:
215/55 17s on the GLE?
Good grief.....try finding some of those puppies at your local tire store......

At first I thought I would wait for the 2002s. But 6-speeds will be hard to come bym and 6-speeds that are not loaded up through the nose will be near impossible to find (unless special ordered?) At this point, I think I am just going to forget about the Maxima and buy something else. I may consider an XVL or G35 in a few years. We'll see. In the meantime, I have a feeling the Altima may eat into Maxima sales far more than Nissan expects, unless Maximas continue to be sold at prices ridiculously lower than MSRP.
