anyone installed new foglight assemblies? i'm looking at the 510s as per recommendations on the other thread.
what color is the ion crystal? yellow?
can you just splice into the power and ground wires for the stock fogs and just keep using the stock switch on the turn signal bar?

i haven't seen the factory wiring down there and i didn't know if there's a mystery wire i need to worry about. also, any concerns with upgrading the gauge of wiring? i'm guessing not since the 510 is just 55w=85w

pop the fog light out, disconnect it, then take that coil wire cover thing and open it, you'll see the 2 wires you need to splice into. hmm im guessing you wouldnt need to, its basically your replacing the fogs with just different color ones, same wattage etc.. right?

yeah, i guess. the lamps i'm looking at are the piaa 510s and the piaa 1100x. both are 12v 55w=85w power. they're like $200 a pair so i hope they're worth it.

actually i think the factory fogs are like 35w, and the new piaa's would put out 55w.
