I was looking at those close up wheel picks on another thread - Potenza EL42? Is that new? Or was that on a GLE, and the EL42 is less agressive compared to an SE which still uses an RE92?
Also, has anyone happened to look inside the left rear wheelwell of an '02 and see if the splashguard is still left off like the '01's?

I'm wondering the same thing, although I thought the tire read "Turanza" (they are putting Turanza's on the Altima's w/ 17" wheels). It might have said Potenza and I read it wrong. But your are right, in any event, I think it is a new tire. Could be a good thing. I had Nissan replace the stock potenzas with Michellins. Potenza may have ruined my on a BS tire.
