So I'm on my way home today, early for a change, and my friend Dell is in front of me with his CL-S. Since traffic was pretty bare, we decided to take the scenic way to Sonic which consists of a two lane road that quickly opens up into 4 lanes of solid fun, and at a stoplight I might add. My cell phone rings and it's my friend telling me to take a look at the car in front of him. Big friggin deal, I say, it's a TL-S. "But it's not", my friend whines back, "it's rebadged-the exhaust, wheels, and body style are wrong." We're coming up to the light where the road opens to four lanes, and there's no one in front of the TL-(S), so my friend hauls up next to him, as the light mercifully turns red. Nice day out, so through my open window I can hear my friend say, "that's not a *******ed type-S! Take that **** off your car!" To which the guy replies, "F!ck you, it is too!" and revs it. I'm behind my friend, and when the light turns green, he's off like a bat out of hell, with me right behind. I let off a little so I can watch, and my friend completely crushes what is by now without a doubt in my mind just a TL. My friend just keeps going and blows through a yellow light as me and the TL line up next to each other. By now I'm laughing my *** off and look over to see one ****ed off sailor. We wait for what seems like forever, and both gun it off the line. I grab about 2 car lengths on him before I flick on the hazards, and see my friend slowing in the TL's lane. He gave me a thumbs up and tucked in behind me, as the TL barely misses him by a few inches at best doing his ricer flyby. All in all some good fun, and best of all we called BS correctly (thank God for me!). Tomorrow I'm racing another guy off my boat with 200SX SE-R. Dunno what year, but he says it was the last year it was made. Any ideas how I'll fare?

I still plan on coming up on the 30th to go to that one car meet. But I was looking at some of the other cars in his club, and at least half of them will hand out some Maxima *** with ease. Oh well, it's a chance to get out of town to somewhere other than Charlotte. You have any idea if you can go yet? Oh yeah, the invite is open to anyone of you near Germantown. Just let me know ahead of time so I can tell the guy arranging it. It's Sept. 30th, and there's supposed to be food and a band. Sorry, that's all I know, but there's gonna be a good number of cars there too. Should be interesting...

too early to tell.... I may be free so I could possibly go to it. I work in gaithersburg, which is only 2 minutes from Germantown. Maybe you should also ask Paul2kGXE... he lives near there also. Maybe we could get a pack of maximas to crash their meet

The guy who invited me is pretty cool, so I'd feel bad about crashing it, but I'd love to not be the only Max there. Adding a few more would be pretty sweet. Like I said, anyone from this forum is welcome, Maxima or not.

TL beat down

there was one dude w/'01 TL, he just traded it in for his loaded Y2K SE 5 spd (69k miles). He thought he'd engage the traction control and switch the autostick to the 1st gear, and thats how he'd beat me. We raced in the apt complex it was 'from the start', just 1/8 mi. I revved my beast up to 3000 RPM and barely managed to control the wheel spin. They spinned anyway, for about 50 meters (to the excitement of local kids). Right from the start I walked on him like on Honda Civic LOL.
