hello it's me again. I just wanted to say that where I work, there are two 2001 Maximas that are doing thier best to hold up the Maxima name. One is a SE and the other is a GLE. They are both automatics. they are racing everyone in the parking lot at work. A coworker who works in my dept. owns a 5 spd. Ford Contour SVT. The GLE went up against it and while I did not witness the "race", both Maxima owners were bragging how badly the Contour got beat.

The "race" was said to only have been about 1/8 of a mile. I feel that the contour, if properly driven, should have at least been able to hang with the GLE. both of them keep talking smack about my Miata. I keep reminding them that I have a 10 psi turbo on the way. anyway, the other cars that they challange are a 97 GTI who did not take the bait. Another was a Lexus GS 300 again who did not take the bait. For now, they are the two fastest cars in the lot.......for now.

I just felt like swinging by and saying hello and informing you guys about the two "super Maximas" down here.

Sounds like a fun place to work. I wish my job had more car nuts. We do have a total of 10 5th Gens, 4 4th Gens and I think 3 3rd Gens here. Owners mostly consist of ages 30 and over so no smack talk going around. All that power lurking around...no desire to live it up.

no this is not a flame. I am simply stating that there are two highly enthusiastic Maxima owners who realize the power their car has and they flaunt it. They "shake what Nissan gave em'" Oh, by the way, I love the new Maxima commercial. Ya know the one where the driver up****s and flys away from the reaper.
