Well my wife came home this evening and informed me that she backed into someone in my 2001 SE. I went to look and found that the driver's side corner of the rear bumper has paint rubs and a flat spot. My question is, what is the sentence for aggravated assault in North Carolina?
Seriously...how much $$ is this gonna cost me? Ideas?

well....i don't know what's a sentence for aggravated assault in NC... (don't do it..)

but i really really feel ur pain..almost same thing happened to my car few weeks back...a 2000 white Nissan Maxima GLE backed into my driver side rear bumper...had lots of her paint...and little bit of bumper damage...

i think the cost will be anywhere around $500-$900...depends on if you need a new bumper..and the color of your car...

Well...

Mine is Merlot (burgandy) and lemme guess....most expensive color, right? That is what I always say to the guys at the Nissan place. I apparently always break the most expensive thing. Oh well. I wonder if my insurance will go up if I make a claim?

what about the guy your wife backed into? don't you have to report that so your insurance covers it? so why not make a claim?

she didn't hit and run did she?

It will probably cost about a few hundred dollars to have the cover replaced, then painted. Good luck with everything, just be happy it wasn't like the door or something else that wasn't plastic.

Because of the flat spot in the bumper, is it that bad that a body shop might not be able to put it out and possible do a fill on it?

Not sure what they can do about the flat spot. I didn't see any tearing of the bumper cover, but I looked at the brace from underneath and it looked like it had bent a little.
About the other guy. He was driving some really old car and it apparently didn't hurt it too bad because he said not to worry about it. Of course that could be because my wife is kinda hot...hey! He was hitting on my wife! J/K
