this race occured comming from e-town this weekend,i was messing with one of those new mazdas when this last model legend coupe speeds up behind us and starts to tailgate me so i let him pass to check out the car, the guy is driving in full gangsta lean position ,we hit traffice and i change lanes and he gets right behind me and when it clears i weave around a car with him right behind me up until about the end off 3rd then i start to pull away,i have about 2 cars on him when he slows down to get through a space in traffic that i took doing over 95mph (gotta love that rsb)i flash the hazerds and slow down and roll down the window so he can see that i have a passenger too ,he pulls up real ****ed and takes the next exit.so anyone know the specs on the coups?

 

for the old legend coupes, some of them came with 230 hp and a 6 speed. The rest, I don't know

 

Yep. Those are the (limited edition) GS coupe & sedan. They were pretty powerful at that time; but now, pfffft.

Other than that, it's the standard Honda 3.2L V6 w/ 200hp.

I had a similar encounter about 2 weeks ago. They are pretty quick for sure..I was surprised. We started at around 75 and I only pulled one car on him in third but once I hit 4th I pulled on him hard.

2 cars ago I had 91 Acura Legend coupe 5spd. It had a 3.0 liter V6 engine. My car was stock but because it had a 5spd, it was pretty quick. If I remember correctly, it could sprint to 60 mph in about 7.0 seconds. I have a 2000 Max SE 5spd. It supposed to run 0 to 60 in 6.7 seconds. I believe it. My Max feels quicker!

 

The Legend GS 6sp was a special car. It had something most Honda's don't... torque. It also had mad top end, I would love to own one someday.

 

To tell you the truth the Legend I ran seemed faster than the CL-S I have ran against. Up to the top of third gear it is reasonably close but once I hit 4th I pulled hard on both especially mid to top of 4th. Both were on a roll starting around 70. I have a 5spd 2k1 with Y-pipe and intake.

 

i forgot about that.. every max like that? auto/manual... blah..

 

Acuras are aiight...they hold their value tight...I wish Maximas had the same resale value
