Clock unit is driving me INSANE! Help me Kev

Hopefully someone can help me, i know you can Kev, cause u've done this already.
I just got my Varad Alien scanner and i want to hook it up with my clock unit (security light). But the thing feels like its gonna break on me! Do u pull straight up on it? Do i pull up on the WHOLE unit, or just the panal? Did you guys just use your hands to pull it out?
sorry for all the questions, i dont want to break anything

*edit*

Oh and i tried the search but my aol browser is giving me lots of problems with the web and im getting errors. It took me forever to post this.

It's held in place by three clamps. The one plastic in the middle of the front needed to be pushed back and then you pull whole thing up - two side's are of spring type and they get released if you continue pulling up.

Security. Look at the back of the clock, where the harness is, and it'll tell you which one is the security wire.

Hey Kev, i popped out my clock unit. But I want to know how you installed your scanner. Did u hook up red to red, black to black, and yellow to yellow? I figure thats the right way, but there isnt much room to work with. All of the wires are really tight and close together, and it kinda seems dangerous with me splicing those 3 wires in such close proximity.

Yup, that's what I did. Don't do them all in the same spot (move the splicers away from each other).
