Strange sunroof logic on 2k2 Max and a f***ed up 2k2 Altima
I testdrove a 2k2 Max and a 2k2 Altima 3.5 SE last Saturday. The Altima had good acceleration but the Maxima (as we all know) is more powerfull...and you can feel it! The Altima was a better handler but the interior left me cold with it's cheapness. Not to mention the fact that the sunroof broke on the Altima durring the test drive and would not close! Good ol' American assembly!
What is up with the sunroof logic on the 2k2 Maxima's? When you pull back the (new) lever to open the roof, the roof goes into 'vent' mode then drops down and slides back. And when closing, it slides all the way forward then goes into 'vent' mode and then drops back down to fully close. Doesn't make sense to me.

I know what you mean man, I think it makes it sorta prone to break, too many steps to closing and opening it, but you gotta love that slide feature control, its awesome.

I also noticed that the roof in the 2k2 Altima vents at least twice as high as my 2k Max...but I forgot to check and see if the 2k2 Max does the same.

I don't have a digi-cam , borrowed a friend's. I took a quick pic of my car where I parked it at his house (in the bushes ). The lighting conditions might have make it bad too...trees all around.

Can you post more pics with those rear 2k2's with a better pic of the 'white' in your car. In the pic it looks almost sterling mist. I have a white too and am trying to get a beter idea of what theyll look like.

Like I posted before, I don't have a digital camera. I suggest you go to your local Nissan dealership and see one in person. They should have plenty in stock. 2k2 tails look best on Icelandic Pearl and Sterling Mist...in my opinion.
