Have you guys figured out any neat tricks the software can do? Do you have any good sites where we can learn what some of the stuff means? Thanks!

this post brought to you by the letter L

for Loser... man, I really have hardly hooked that up. I got all worked up, went out and got the screen shots I posted here and that was kinda the end of it. As soon as its cold enough for it to do that stumbling thing (right after startup) I planned to do some scanning.

Thanks Tim. I hooked it up and found a problem: bad O2 (bank 1 sensor 1). I definitely want to learn how to use it better.

I bought one and it came in last week. Full price though. I should've hooked up with Shing when he was doing the group deal. It's pretty neat. If you ever have a laptop in your car, hook it up to your port and you can read lots of stuff. O2's (A/F not wideband though), intake air temp, coolant temp, mph, rpm, volt (I think), and more stuff. Well worth $136, more worth it when it was ~$70.

so...

you actually used it.. go Kev, it's your birthday, go Kev....

I'm curious, what did you see? I suppose you queried the O2 readings? or did it throw you a code?

I have it, but don't know any cool tricks. I have made several runs and found it very interesting. I had one run with the start up air intake temp of 98 F. When I got running and up to speed, the air temp dropped to 78 F. The outside temp according to a local bank was 82 F. That was really the only thing I noticed that was interesting.

If you find anything cool, let us know.

I saw two codes in the box on the second tab, so the ECU threw those already. I reseted the ECU and saw a pending code (bad O2).

I noticed mine IAT was 91 when my car was idling. Never took it on a run, but I'm interested in seeing how hot the SC gets on a run.

Yeah, I'll definitely let you guys know if I find anything interesting.

The only other thing I noticed (just remembered this actually) was the RPM's. With my auto when I floored the pedal and was really launching the car ... my tranny shifted at at the 5950 RPM's. That was the highest it shifted. It never got above that. 1-2 shift was 5900, 2-3 was 5950, 3-OD was 5800. I never let up off the pedal and it was on the floor the entire time.

I would like to know a few things about the supercharger too. So make a run and tell us all about it ...
