Wheel Size Discrepancy

Is it just me, or do 17" rims look bigger than 16" rims by a difference greater than 1" (Difference looks bigger than 1")? When I saw Kev's pics, looked like he had 18's (illusion from the drop?)...just curious. Can't decide on 17's or 18's, OEM 17's look small (tire profile illusion?) but aftermarket 17's seem to look larger.

I think the stock OEM 17's look almost like 18's. .... probably because they don't have a lip

Alot of the newer wheels that dont have Lips on them are actually almost 18.5" in diameter on the outside. Making a 17" look almost 18" to 19"

The lip is what seems to throw alot of people off and the fact that when a car is dropped it makes it look complete.
