Sounds like a good deal in the Group Buy thread. I think they're 7.5s though.

Anyone have any pictures of Gunmetal rims on their car? What do you think about Gunmetal vs. Chrome on a Icelandic Pearl Maxima?

The best rims I have seen so far
Flipmode-Cali has the best rims I have seen so far on a white maxima. I think they are 18" x 8.5. They make his car look kick azz...and if you didn't know any better you would think it was a rear wheel drive monster!

Damn....I wish I got those rims...oh well! Maybe I will have to get another set down the road.

Yeah, I really liked his Zenettis.

My first choice is the Neeper Dagg, but $2K for 4-rims plus $600-800 for tires is out of the question right now. For $600 I might as well drive around on them for awhile and then sell them once I got the money. I'm pretty sure I can sell any decent rims in the paper around here for $400-500.

The pic is in my sig. Personally i think the gunmetal would look better than the chrome, but i am biased.

why dont you try and buy 1MAX2NV's rims, i am dure you could get a pretty good deal on them.

Well if the 17's look like 16's, then wouldn't the 18's look like 17's. It all depends on what you want, with konigs, smaller=less weight. you will go faster with the 17's but will look better with the 18's. Up to you. I think you should wait and save up to get the rims you really want.

Motegi wheels are pretty low quality... not like i have much to say with these konigs though. but yes, they are very very heavy wheels. almost as if they are made of lead.

Thanks EVERYONE!
I really want the DAGGs, but I was trying to talk myself into something cheap for NOW. I hate seeing 4-Icelandic Pearl Maxs drive around EVERYDAY that look like just like mine. Except the clear markers, mirror tint, and of course the 2K2 HIDs, but nobody really can tell the difference anyways.

I'm going to wait and save my money. Hopefully by Summer I can get the DAGGs or find something better.

Again thanks for the help.

I also like
IceY2K & Toylet...There was someone on this board a while back that was from Florida that got the annodixed, (kind of like gunmetal) on a white car and I really thought they looked bad..IMO. I like gunmetal on a Grey Lustre or a Black but otherwise I don't like the look.

If you are looking at Konigs...consider the Toxins. They are pretty light in comparison to their other models, and they look pretty cool. I think Tires.com has a package deal on them. I am not sure they are going to have the perfect offset to them though. My Koning Imagines look good...but I wish I got a different offset to them.....and if I remember correctly they do not have the 45mm offset on the 18 x 7.5 rims...mine are a 35mm offset. They look fine in the front but the back I am getting some spacers (120 bucks!) which makes me kind of mad that I didn't just go with a proven set of rims that I have seen on the Org.

Just take your time...and make a wise decision! Rims are a pretty pricey mod...and if you live in a bad area your car becomes a target!

i have to agree with you on that, motegi wheels are low quailty. motegis are built in america. wheels made in japan have a very strict standard. i would go with japanese wheels just because i know that japan makes quality productd and they have that strict standard

there're so many rims out there, and everyone got his/her own opinion on quality, and bought @ different price. I wish someone put it all together...This would be a valuable resource...Y2Kev, you got this thread on what parts are offered by each manufacturer for 5th gens. Smthg similar would be great.

Those are the chrome ones (18" x 8.5)...over 350 a rim...the siver ones are 240 a rim. This was just a quick google search away.

Here is a good close up picture

Your welcome!

Cali....I hope I don't make you mad about pimping out your wheels...they just look so good on a maxima!

Check out these pictures...some 20's on a SUV!
