Throttle body adjustment.......

Throttle body adjustment.......
Has anyone a service manual yet? My throttle body cable had loosened up the other day, and I tightened down the 2 nuts securing it. My car runs differently now, in my acceleration is either quicker or slower, depending on where I adjust the cable. This is the cable that hooks up to the vaccuum pump. If anyone has a service manual that can tell me how to return it to the correct position I would appreciate it. It may also help as a tuning aide, in that I can get quicker accceleration off the line, but then I think in my top end I get more revs.with less power;not totally sure, because I hit 60 mph so quickly. I want to go back to stock, but am not sure if this screws up the intake timing, or what. Any ideas?
Thanks everyone!

you gotta feel it with your own hand when adjusting it. It must have a little bit of free movements, but not too much to hinder acceleration....
