Cadillac Seville Acura TL

My friend has a stock cadillac seville and my other friend has a tl with a bodykit...we were all trying to race but we couldnt really cause there were sum cars blocking me but in the little time i was able to floor the car my car seemed much slower then both those cars....they were able to keep going cause they had no cars in front of them but i couldnt, but still i thought my car would be able to hang wid them? Do you guys tink only a YPIPE will enable me to beat both those cars?

Cadillac Sevilles with the Northstar engine are very fast, don't underestimate them. They run sub-7 0-60 times.

if it was a 40mph roll I know why, because your car won't downshift to first and it'll be stuck in second @ some mid 3000rpms, while you're stuck there the other's downshifted into their powerband and left you in dust.

only way to get around this is when you floor it(@ around 40, DO NOT DO IT ABOVE 45MPH), push yr tranmission into 1 then yr car will rev up to around mid 5500rpms and then shift it back to D when the tach says 6100rpm.

but from what I heard, this is bad for your car(manual shifting), don't do it unless you really want to.
