Where in Houston??

Does anyone know where in Houston I can get my windshield polarized. I saw that some one else here did it and I think I am going to try and risk it for a bit... Also, what is a good price for getting mirror tint?

Polarized windshield, eh?
I have polarized sunglasses and they're badass for cutting glare; you really can see clearly with them. As far as polarizing windshields, they have to put the polarizing film on the glass, and I think in Texas it's illegal to "tint" the windshield.

Does anyone else have a take on this?

You can try Executive Motoring on Hillcroft, 713-780-8000. They did a good tint job on my Maxima. They're not the corporate type, so they might do the windshield.

How are their prices. One pace quoted me $230, not including the windshield or sunroof.

I paid about that much for everything but the windshield and sunroof. Got the metallic tint in 35% all the way around. On hindsight, I should have gotten the back window tinted 20%, but I think they charge a little more for that.

So with sunroof and windshield and everything, it'd probably be almost $270-300.

Executive Motoring is a great place to go. Go to their location on Gessner north of I-10. The original is on Hilcroft but they mainly do detail/car wash work there. Ask for John (one of the owners) at the Gessner location and he will hook you up. I have taken all of my vehicles there for tint, alarm, fog lights, etc and you can always get him to come down on the price. He did the tint on my max in the sig below and I think it came out looking sweet on the black color. I'm not sure if he will do the moonroof or windshield though. When I had my windows tinted I asked about the moonroof and he said not too because it could crack. I trust him and his decision not to do it.

If you get a chance you should check out his Land Cruiser. He's got a nice TV system in there along with other goodies. If he doesn't have it at the store he can order and have it installed in no time.

Forgot to say the tint on my car is 28% all the way around and only cost about $150. Lifetime nationwide warranty on the tint and one piece rear window. Never a problem with the tint bubbling or turning purple.
