The 5th gen hop

I'm tired of the wheel hop on my car. ie. hard launches, wet roads etc.. I hate always riding the clutch out and sometimes I like the tires to spin but hate that damn hop. Sounds like crap too! I'm running 33PSI in my front tires now. If I lower it to 31 or 30 will it reduce the chance of The 5th Gen Hop?

Cool! Thanks for that info!

What exactly cause the wheel hop? And what the hell is that sound when hoppin' along? I swear it is the FSTB banging on the hood!

Re: Re: Re: The 5th gen hop

My friend has the Cattman (place racing) motor mounts in his 4th gen and they do eliminate wheel hop, but they make the car vibrate a lot more and increase noise slightly.

Re: Re: Re: Re: The 5th gen hop

Ya I've been hear about that as well. I hear that the vibration in the wheel is only when the car is at a stand still. How would it increase noise? I wonder if there is any difference in the characteristics between the 4th gen and 5th gen mounts once installed?
I'm trying to find someone who has them installed on a 5th gen.
