I should have waited and purchased the 2k2 since I like the navigation system. Since I dont have a navigation system on my 2k1, I was thinking of purchasing a Garmin Street Pilot III . I like the device because its portable and it can be used in other vehicles as well. Does anyone know where I can purchase this device for a reasonable price? So far, the cheapest price I seen advertised was for $789.00

while I like BirdEye® view better in the nav package, garmin has better data and its generally a better GPS. thats a pretty good price you found. just make sure they are authorized so you get a warranty (garmin is strict about inet selling). gpscity.com has good deals (because they are authorized, they must email you the price, dont worry its automated and shows up in seconds and they've never spammed me)
