Clearing Headlights & Side Markers on Black 5.5

I've been considering blacking out my headlights and taking out the amber lens for some time now, but I recently thought of just clearing out the orange lens rather than painting the headlights because when I sell the car, it's gonna be a pain to buy new lights to return it to stock, this way I can just put the orange lens back in. I was looking for some pics of black 5.5's with cleared lights and only saw a couple, pls post some.

Another issue would be what I'm doing with the sidemarkers, I was going to go with smoked ones when I blacked-out the lights, but assuming I go with cleared out lights, would clear side markers or smoked markers look better? I'm sitting on my stock 17" TE rims right now, but in the future will either go with black w/chrome lip or hypersilver rims..Does anyone have pics of cleared headlights with both combos of side markers? Thanks

thanks for the pics man..my car is quite similar to yours..is yours a gle or se? Those look like gle rims? The main difference between yours and mine seems that I do not have the black grill..for some reason I'm thinking that the silver grill will match better with the cleared headlights?

mine is an SE..those are Z wheels.
i blacked everything out (grill, sidemarkers, tails, and side window trim).
i plan on doing my headlights to go with the grill (and everything) better.

Oh I didn't notice the window trim..if you don't mind me asking, how did you go about blacking out the window trim and grill? I'm trying to stay away from mods that would prevent me from returning the car to stock easily..so far everything I've done, I still have the OEM parts that I can swap back

regardless, your car looks really clean..keep it up

hey,
grille looking real good
if you dont mind me asking, why is there a white spray can?
did you paint the grille white first before painting it black?

also, how would a black grille look like on a white maxima?

the the OP
go to autozone and buy blackout tape
all you have to do is cut it and stick it, when you sell the car(though i dont see why someone would want to lol) you can just peel it off

I'm not planning on selling the car right now, I'm quite happy with it..but I know that sometime in the next few years I will end up selling, so I'd rather be prepared.

In terms of blacking out the grill, if it is that easy (with tape) I might get it done, but if it has to be painted, I'll probably leave it. I already put quite a bit of $$ in my max right now, I gotta sit low for a while, so I wanted to do some stuff myself..which may include the cleared lights..I'm still looking for some opinions on the side markers?
