Everyone your input is needed

I need members sugestions on a custom exhaust install. I am going to put on a 5-zigen N1 muffler with S.S. custom piping. My question is should I remove the middle muffler section and put a straight pipe or do I leave it or get a different one?? I think its called a resonator and also can any of the cats be removed and is it recommended.Any suggestions and experiences will greatly be appreciated.

Middle section... are you talking about the catalytic convertor or the resonator? The resonator is this big long cylindrical looking thing. If you're talking about this, yes you can get rid of it without and ill effects. The only downside is that your car will be louder.

You can remove the pre-cats by getting a y pipe (1 if Cali, 2 if Fed)... which you have. Or do the Fed spec conversion.

since you have a y-pipe, you have removed the one precat already. You can replace the main cat with a straight pipe if you want, or get a hi-flow cat. As for the b-pipe, go with a custom SS mandrel bent pipe. The stock resonator is part of the stock b-pipe, so it will be gone. Yoo can probably get a small resonator put on your custom b-pipe if you find it too loud
